Pepsi Grant Competition - Support Big Event and Carpool!!

Hello Ladies,

The Big Event is up for a grant through Pepsi for $25,000.  As I am sure most of you know, The Big Event is the nation's largest one-day student run service project. The event started at Texas A&M and this year we are celebrating our 30th year.  We have grown tremendously over these years. Last year we had over 35.5% of our student population participate.  The 16,500 students that participated worked for 4 hours on a Saturday just to say "Thank You" to the community for continually supporting the school and the students.  The 1,400 jobs completed last year included various tasks homeowners needed done in the Bryan and College Station area and ranged from painting, raking, cleaning, and many more.  Not only has The Big Event seen growth at Texas A&M, but has grown to over 75 other campuses across the nation and international campuses are now pursuing to start their own event.  Each year we host a conference on how schools can improve or start their own event.

The Pepsi grant is awarded based on votes on their website, and this is where we need your help!  The voting goes on for the ENTIRE month of November.  You have several options to vote (you can do all of them EACH DAY):

1. Text 109628 to 73774 (If you have a smart phone you can type Pepsi in the "To:" field)

3. You can register with an email address (takes 1 min.) or use Facebook to vote (or do both)

Bonus: This month specially marked Pepsi Products (Bottles and 12 pack cases) have a chance for a POWER vote.  The selected products will have a code that can be used to vote for an organization and the organization will receive 100 votes from one POWER vote.

Texas A&M's Carpool orgnization is also up for the a grant from Pepsi, but in the $50,000 tier (i.e. our two organizations are not competing against each other).

To vote for Carpool, text 109864 to 73774 (Pepsi)

Pepsi will not send you spam emails or texts, only a conformation or verification email/text.

I hope you will also join us on March 24, 2012, for The Big Event.
